Wood Pellet Stove Calculator
Room Heating Wood Pellet Stoves
For a room heating stove, you need to calculate the volume of the room you are trying to heat :
Room width x room length x ceiling height in cubic metres / m3.
Once you have that figure divide it by 20.
This final figure will give you the approximate output you need from a wood pellet stove to heat the your room.
Ideally this number should be in the mid-range of the stove capabilities – to allow you to increase & decrease the heat output to suit your needs.
OR alternatively, use the simple calculator below ↓
In order to give you a general idea of the heat output of a multi-fuel stove you may need to heat your room, you can just enter the length, depth and ceiling height of your room into the following calculator and it will work out an approximate size for your stove.
Remember the result above is a guide to the output required for a multi-fuel stove to heat your room. It does not give a correct output estimate for a wood pellet stove. Typically manufacturers of wood pellet stoves use the room heating capacity of the stove as a means of measuring if a stove will heat your room.
